Prior to founding Be Design, Tobie worked with Rockwell Group and was involved in the design of The Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida.

With references to the resort’s past, the design aims to celebrate Vinoy’s traditional Mediterranean Revival design and old-Florida grandeur. The arrival court, veranda and lobby showcase custom, lantern-like chandeliers; architectural details like the original cypress wood beams and ceramic flooring.

The guestrooms are inspired by Florida’s coastal topography and boast the hotel’s polished palette, crown molding, wood flooring and new fixtures.
